The Liminal Nightmare environment is the final story-based level in the game, players have to make their way through the level in order to assemble the artifact to "break free".
I was responsible for modelling, texturing, and set dressing various areas of the environment as well as detail set dressing in the areas with preliminary set dressing already done.
This was the most collaborative of the levels workwise as the initial level designer greyboxed the scene and set up rudimentary lights, but then the final lighting was done by both the other level designer, and technical designer who also did the very early pass of the set dressing.
This was the final level that I modelled for the game, and due to its large size and complex design I almost exclusively utilised modular wall pieces to ensure that everything had a consistent size and scale, and as the level is meant to be a merging of the previous two environments as well, various set pieces from the other levels were reused in order to keep consistency across the game.
The environment and assets were modelled and textured using Maya, Substance Painter and Photoshop.
And was rendered in Unity.
